Gitikka Ganju Dhar appraises GIWA Awards 2016
The ICWF, an organisation formed that celebrates the efforts and endeavours of the wedding planning industry, recently held its 4th edition of the GIWA Awards in Jaipur from the 3rd to the 5th of August. The summit was hosted in association with Rixos Hotels, taking place on a grand scale with regards to the venue, hospitality and the after-parties. The title of trophy sponsors was taken by Swarovski AG, well renowned across the world for their luxury lead cut glass and fashion design crystals. Fairmont Jaipur acted as the main venue for the conference, giving off a feeling of royalty to all who attended the ceremony.
The event was hosted by none other than the exuberant Gitikka Ganju Dhar who made her presence on the stage felt for the second year in a row. She quoted “The Great Indian Wedding Awards this year had a great zing about them. Victories were celebrated with volcanic energy. The performers were enjoyed thoroughly and the after-party refused to call it quits!” The celebrity even stated that as the anchor, she received an incredible vibe from the audience. Once she signed off, she knew with absolute certainty that the entire team had pulled off one of the best GIWAs ever.
The GIWA awards were host to a number of players present in the local, Indian wedding and management industry who attended the gathering on account of the nominations. A few of the abundant speakers who attended the function included Veronique Dussault, Sumant Jaykrishnan, David Beahm, Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Geeta Samuel and Carla Marques who brought their A game to the table with their extensive knowledge in relation to the industry. However, the event was spearheaded by the Captains of the industry such as Brian Tellis, Roshan Abbas and Sabbas Joseph who ensured the audience that their presence and participation would not go unnoticed.
The summit also featured the presence of various wedding industry stakeholders such as Khantil Mehta, Rajesh Gopinathan, Ram Bherwani, Sephi Berguson, Rakhi Kankaria, Keyur Patel and Ashish Chawla. Other prominent stakeholders also included Vijay Arora, Ginny Kohli, Siddharth Bapna, Jaideep Mehta, Rajesh Ravani and Aarti Mattoo who graced the stage and engaged the audience with their words.
The after-parties featured a lavish spread of cuisines partnered up with the extravagant performances by artists including Sandeep and Sanjeev Vyas, Harshdeep Kaur, Hard Kaur, Akhil Sachdeva and Nasha along with Talent Square that entertained the guests till the late hours of the night. THE ICWF certainly does not hold back when it comes to putting on a grand show for an occasion.
