Her wish came true
What if a shooting star turns your dream into a beautiful reality? Your wish of having a tall, fun loving and dimpled man comes true? No, this isn’t a story taken out from a fairy tale. A 13-year-old Rehsul dreamt about the same and her dreams got wings when she met Abhimanyu.
Abhimanyu, a quirky guy with a contagious smile met Reshul in their latter half’s of 1st year at a café below their college. Abhimanyu could light up any dull moment with his great story telling ability and his way of conversation.
The couple has a never ending list of special memories as they were dating each other for a good nine years before they tied the wedding knot. Their college was at the top of a hill and the girls hostel right at the foot of it. Abhimanyu and Reshul walking down hand in hand every day was a regular practice. Abhimanyu always pampered Reshul, he made her breakfast in bed, he also sold his “red love” Royal Enfield Thunderbird to buy a ring for his “lady love”.
In spite of being from different cultural and religious backgrounds they both convinced their families calmly. Abhimanyu told his parents about Reshul the day he proposed her and his parents were pretty much sure that their son would end up marrying Reshul as they couldn’t be kept apart in those 9 years of a relationship. As for the bride, her parents cornered her in a train while coming back from a cousin’s wedding. And unexpectedly they were pretty much cool with her choice.
Both Abhimanyu and Reshul were from different religious and cultural backgrounds, their wedding turned out to be the unique one for both the bride and the groom and their families. Their wedding had a touch from both families’ cultural and religious rituals. Every single moment turned out to be their fondest memory.
In spite of her initial excitement of getting married, the horror of an endless checklist scared the living daylights out of her. It’s fun being married and we love with all our heart, which makes our own definition of love, said the bride. Some of the secrets which Reshul revealed about their happily married life, is that they relish and spend some quality time before going out for work every day. Stealing kisses now and then, watching their favourite shows together and yes!! a bit of bickering is what makes them a happy couple.
