Tanna – Malharkar Wedding in Malaysia – WedKnock Stories

Tanna – Malharkar Wedding in Malaysia

When high school sweethearts get married to each other, romance becomes the theme of the wedding on its own. It was truly a momentous occasion when Vivek Tanna, son of Jayesh Tanna who happened to be the owner of Sai Group of companies, wedded the love of his life Hanita Malharkar. The Tanna family wanted a wedding at a location where all their relatives and friends could come together, to celebrate their togetherness and create everlasting memories.

The Tanna family had chosen the beautiful Sunway Resorts and Spa of Malaysia as the destination for their ceremonies which just so happened to be one of the biggest water parks of Asia. Their famous pillar-less ballroom of the resort was grand enough to accommodate not only the guests present, but also chefs from across the globe with their extraordinary food set-ups and a troop of waiting staff, each serving one decadent dish after the other from the live-counters.

The awe-inspiring occasion was celebrated with much pomp and fanfare with a great deal of importance given to the details, décor and delivery of the event. A tremendous effort was dedicated into planning a smooth, hassle-free opulent wedding with both sides of the family taking multiple trips to Malaysia to finalize the décor, food and other logistics. The Tannas involved themselves in every element of the wedding aspect and maintained a family-like relation with the Momentum Group who had a primary role in organizing the major components of the event. The Momentum Group yet again created a spectacular event out of a celebration of love.

The guest list included some of the Tanna family’s close friends from the field of entertainment and politics; such as Raghuvendra Sharda and Smita Thackeray to name a few.

After a highly successful dandiya night in Mumbai, which had a scintillating performance by Falguni Pathak and others, the guests took off in the air to Malaysia. The air was filled with a kind of vigor rarely witnessed before, an energy that brought both Vivek and Hanita’s families closer than before.

“Hearts and Flowers” Themed Sangeet:
Taking us one step closer to the wedding ceremony was the Sangeet Night. ‘A Hearts and Flowers’ themed evening which perfectly exhibited the richness and elegance of a bygone era. The luxurious venue was decorated with eye-catching and artistic floral arrangements. All the guests were welcomed in traditional Malaysian Style by a wonderful staff dressed up for the occasion. The table-linen used was a rich brown and the centerpieces adorning them had feathers as well as exotic floral arrangements with the prime theme of red roses and gerbera, emphasizing heavily on the theme of love. The entire entryway to the venue had hanging chandeliers and giant floral vases, all decorated with red roses. The indoor banquet was covered en masse with drapes of blue and silver with suspended candle light chandeliers, giving off a feeling of Indian royalty that enthralled many of the guests. A spectacular ice bar and an LED performance stage were erected as well to encompass contemporary, edgy, modern classic, glamorous and vibrant elements – all of which came together to deliver the utmost in sublime beauty.

The day of the main event arrived and it was clear that the Tanna family did not hold back as the groom made a grand entry in a vintage car with an ecstatic baraat following through, dancing and making merry.

The Wedding:
The wedding carried the opulence of the royals. The vidhimandap carried a sense of extravagance as it was complimented
with a pearl white and gold combination, with white signifying the purity of the ritual. A deep pink, rose, fuchsia, red and purple color palette with a refreshing hint of raspberry lingered in the background that gave a sense of amazement to the guests. The chair wraps were adorned with gold sequined embroidery, and a rich fusion of roses and chrysanthemums adorned the whole venue, turning it into a floral paradise.

The grandeur of the wedding stood out in its beautiful colors, complemented by traditional music, mouth-watering, delicious Indian food, and all the glamour which befits an Indian Wedding!

Vivek and Hanita’s wedding was elegance personified with the Momentum Group amplifying every minute detail of each event for which the evidence was present at each function. The couple and their families could not withhold their happiness and gratitude as they had finally become witnesses to one of the most perfect wedding ceremonies ever.!
